An in-depth look at the Empowered Recovery Course Curriculum

Modules 1-6

  • In module 1 you will gain clarity on how satisfied you currently are with different areas of your life. You will then step into a vision of possibilities of what life could look like in the not too distant future. You will also learn about managing your recovery so that you have confidence in your ability to remain sober and thrive.

  • In module 2 you will learn about what type of mindset is necessary for you to have the future you want. You will be introduced to the power behind breathing exercises, meditation, mourning routine, and how you can reap all the benefits by incorporating them into your daily life.

  • In module 3 you will learn how to get “unstuck”. How to make the decision between keeping the status quo in life…or making a change. You will then learn how lasting change is created in life, and be introduced to the Lasting Change Formula. You will also use a tool to help you first identify, and then align yourself with the ideal image of who you want to be.

  • In module 4 you will learn about why visioning and mindset are SO important. You will complete a visioning exercise and use that information to create an extremely powerful mindset tool that you will utilize every single day in the program and can utilize to benefit you every day for the rest of your life (I do on a daily basis!)

  • In module 5 We will take the vision of the future you’ve created, apply your new mindset, and really start working towards what you want out of life…your goals! You will learn and utilize an evidence based framework to increase the likelihood of accomplishing your goals. You will learn the importance of action steps and milestones in working towards your goals. And you will learn and use effective tools to track your progress and hold yourself accountable along the journey.

  • Active addiction can distort what we value in life. Beyond that, Your entire life is flipped upside down when you get sober. In module 6 we will identify, and reconnect with the core values and beliefs you want to live by so you can thrive. We will align your vision, values, and beliefs (your core self) with your goals, so that all of your life decisions bring you closer to the vision of the future you want - with the passion and purpose of what you value in life. You will also be given the Stress and Anxiety Buster guided meditation to utilize during moments of high stress and anxiety.

Course Curriculum Continued

Modules 7-12

  • It is estimated that more than 40% of our daily actions are governed by habits! module 7 is all about habits; What habits are exactly, how they govern our life, and the science behind how they are created in our brain. You will then learn the process of how to change (bad) habits, and how to form new positive habits in your life.

  • We all want to feel more positive emotions, right? That is why in module 8 we dive deep into the practice and power of gratitude. You will learn exactly why the power of gratitude is the power to create positive energy. You will then learn how to create positive energy every day and use that positive energy to improve the trajectory of every single day though intentional living.

  • In module 9 you will learn why celebrating wins (both big and small) is so important to your motivation in creating the life you want to live. You will learn what the “Success Cycle” is and how to create a success cycle in your life. You will also learn about the importance of self-care, create a personal self-care plan that encompasses all aspects of your life, and be given a separate self-care checklist as a resource to use when you feel like you’re in a “funk” and need to get back on track.

  • I want you to be as successful as possible. So in module 10 we will revisit the goals you set for yourself in module 5. We will make any additions/adjustments necessary and use this week to really focus on making & seeing tangible progress in what you’ve been working towards. You will continue to develop and implement action steps that bring you closer and closer to your end goals, motivating you to “achieve in motion” and provide lasting traction to your journey.

  • You’ve been doing a LOT of hard work on creating the life you want to live in recovery! So in module 11 we are going to take some time to shift the focus back inward…to ourselves. You will be taught a powerful technique to free yourself from judgments, thoughts, and beliefs that cause you suffering. You will also learn about what Emotional Intelligence really is - and how to practice Emotional Intelligence to investigate and learn from our feelings.

  • In module 12 I will give you even more extremely useful tools, tips, and tricks to use when your journey to creating the life you have always wanted in recovery gets tough. Lastly, we will cover just how important it is to have accountability moving forward. You will learn the power of accountability, and techniques to incorporate accountability into your life after your completion of the Empowered Recovery course.
